Boil Water Rescinded

November 01, 2025

Water Boil Notice has been Rescinded

On       October 30, 2025   , the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our public water system Port O'Connor Improvement District, PWS ID # 0290065 to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) to inform our customers that due to reduced pressure in the Port O’Connor Improvement District Distribution System, water from the Port O’Connor Improvement District system must be boiled prior to consumption.

Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure, disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with testing results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling as of

November 1, 2025.

If you have any questions, contact

Oscar Pena, District Manager 361-935-8522

If a customer wishes to reach TCEQ, they may call 512-239-4691

Boil Water Notice Update

We are currently in the process of collecting the necessary samples required for TCEQ testing. The samples will be delivered to the laboratory in Corpus Christi today. We expect to receive the test results within approximately 24 hours after the samples are dropped off.

We will provide an update and notify everyone as soon as the results are available—likely tomorrow.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to ensure the safety and quality of our water.
